Merge PDF Files

To merge PDF files, add two or more PDFs, use the arrows to put them in the right order and press Merge PDF. All pages are joined into one file called merged.pdf that downloads immediately. The files are combined on your device, not on a server.

    How to use it

    1. Choose or drop two or more PDF files.
    2. Use ↑ and ↓ to set the order. The first file's pages come first.
    3. Press Merge PDF.
    4. Your combined file, merged.pdf, downloads automatically.

    When to merge PDFs

Many applications ask for a single document: a CV with certificates, a visa file with bank statements, or an assignment with separate chapters. Merging lets you send one tidy file instead of several attachments, and keeps the pages in the order the reader expects.

    How it works

The tool reads each PDF with the open-source pdf-lib library and copies its pages, in order, into a new document. Because pages are copied rather than re-printed, fonts, images and links stay exactly as they were.

    Frequently asked questions

    Is merging PDFs here safe?

Yes. The PDFs are read and combined inside your browser. They are not uploaded or stored anywhere.

Is there a file size limit?

There is no limit set by us. Very large files depend on your device's memory; on phones, files of a few hundred MB may be slow.

    Does merging reduce quality?

No. Pages are copied as they are, so text, images and links keep their original quality.

    Can I merge password-protected PDFs?

Not yet. Open the file in a PDF reader, remove the password, then merge it.

    Can I add images too?

Convert the images with our JPG to PDF tool first, then merge that PDF with your other files.
